"Symphonic Feasts with Local Flavor" Continues in March
Local Choirs Join TSO for
Mendelssohn's Elijah

The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra will continue the
2007 – 2008 concert season, “Symphonic Feasts with Local Flavor,” with a performance on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church, Tuscaloosa. The orchestra will join the Tuscaloosa Community Singers and the First United Methodist Choir for Mendelssohn's Elijah. Featured soloists are Doff Procter, baritone; Sara Jakubiak, soprano; Olivia Vote, mezzo-soprano; Roderick George, tenor; and Jessica Procter, soprano/youth singer. Shinik Hahm will conduct the concert, and the TCS are under the direction of Leslie Poss . The official concert sponsor is the Gloria Narramore Moody Foundation .
Ticket prices range from $5 - $35 and are available at www.tsoonline.org or by calling the symphony office at 205-752-5515. Tickets will also be available at the box office the afternoon of the performance.
Tuscaloosa Community Singers were founded in 1966 and perform great choral literature of all musical periods and styles. Its membership is open to community singers and high school-senior adults of Tuscaloosa and all surrounding counties.
